What we stand for

Good morals are the soil.
Everything else grows from there.

At Bright Beginners, character comes first. Our core values — Team Work, Integrity and Stewardship (TIS) — are not posters on a wall. They are how we decide things, when things are hard.

01

Team Work

For elders, classmates, teachers, and the community that supports us. We listen when the youngest is speaking.

02

Integrity

Tell the truth, own your mistakes, repair what you break, in objects and in relationships.

03

Stewardship

Children tend the farm, clean their classrooms, and finish what they begin. A child who finishes a small thing learns to finish a large thing.

In practice

How we put values into practice.

Morning circle

Every class begins the day with five minutes of circle time — one piece of good news, one piece of trouble, one offer of help.

Restorative repair

When something is broken (a window, a friendship), we repair it together. Punishment is rare. Repair is the rule.

Elder visits

Once a month, an elder from the village comes to tell a story, lead a song, or teach a craft. The school listens.

Friday plate

Class meals from the farm, once a week. We cook, we serve, we wash up. Together.
